Cold Weather Payments

Cold Weather Payments

Cold Weather Payments have been triggered for postcodes on Ynys Môn.

Cold Weather Payments are made to recipients of selected benefits. To “trigger” the payments the average temperature at a specified weather station must be recorded as, or forecast to be, 0°C or below for seven consecutive days.

If you live in a postcode beginning with: LL58, LL59, LL60, LL61, LL62, LL63, LL64, LL65, LL66, LL67, LL68, LL69, LL70, LL71, LL72, LL73, LL74, LL75, LL76, LL77 or LL78, then you may be eligible to receive this payment.

To find out more, visit the DWP’s Cold Weather Payment web page which provides further information for potential claimants.

The alert was triggered on the 2/3/2018 for the period 24/2/2018 to 2/3/2018.

£25 will be paid to eligible residents living in the Postcodes listed above.

The House of Commons Cold Weather Payments research briefing (last updated for 2016/17) provides background information on the payment.
