Further update from Welsh Water

I have received this further update from Welsh Water:

"As you likely will be aware, we are continuing to face challenges with supplies to customers following the recent inclement weather we have experienced.

"We sincerely apologise to customers who are still seeing problems with their supply – and we’re working to make sure we resolve any problems as soon as we can.

"We have been working to ensure our water treatment works continue working – but we are finding it difficult to keep up with demand to maintain supplies to customers. We have reduced the number affected from 6,000 to 3,000 and we can confirm supplies have been restored to Clydach Vale and Abertillery. Customers may still see discoloured water as supplies return, and we are asking customers not to leave taps running to help us refill the network quicker.

"However, we’re working to fix problems in the communities listed below. Water supplies should gradually return overnight but supplies will not be full restored until the following times:

· Anglesey (Llanddona) by tomorrow morning

· Blaenau Ffestiniog by early afternoon tomorrow

· Synod Inn, Llandysul, Synod Inn, Llandysul, Ffostrasol, Talgarreg in Ceredigion and Pencader in Carmarthenshire - by early afternoon tomorrow

· St David’s / Solva – by early afternoon tomorrow.

"Again, we’re really sorry for the problems we’re seeing and thank our customers for bearing with us."
